DIY Body OIl

Using just a few simple ingredients and your favorite essential oils you can make your own luxurious body oil. For this one I used the essential oils Frankincense and Myrrh. I use it often to relieve inflammation in my muscles and joints. It also supports the immune system, eases stress and can help to balance hormones. Check out even more benefits of Frankincense at https://draxe.com/what-is-frankincense/

I also added a few drops of Myrrh.  There are so many benefits from Myrrh. You can see them at https://www.organicfacts.net/health-benefits/essential-oils/health-benefits-of-myrrh-essential-oil.html

When you put Frankincense and Myrrh together it is a powerful blend!

The recipe I use follows:

You will need:

1/2 cup of organic virgin coconut oil, 1/2 cup of shea butter, 1/2 cup of coco butter chips, several containers to put the oil in after it cools, Frankincense or whatever essential oils you plan to use.

Heat the coconut oil, shea butter and coco butter chips in a small sauce pan on low until all the coco butter chips have melted and blended into the other oils. Turn the heat off and allow it to cool for 5-10 min. Then pour this carrier oil combo into containers or jars. Then add the drops of essential oils you want to use. I like to make this blend pretty strong, so I use about 20 drops of Frankincense and 10 or so drops of Myrrh for a 4 oz jar. In the summer months of Colorado it stays in a liquid form. But when it is cooler the oil turns into a buttery spread. It relieves aches and pains, nourishes skin and more!  I know you’re going to love it.
